(Editor’s note:  That’s Walter Sanders up there.  He hates his job.  Perk up Walt!  We’ve got sweet tunes for your earholes!)

Not such a hot day at the office today.  Suffice it to say that, while I usually love my gig, today sucked.  Two good things happened when I got into the dickmobile though, both of which reminded me that the universe is, by and large, a friendly place.  First, when I was pulling out of the parking lot, contemplating early retirement, the local sport talk radio came back from break with De La Soul’s “Me, Myself and I” playing as the bumper music.  I turned off the depressing Cavs chatter, plugged in the ipod and cranked the following live version of that track.  That improved my mood significantly.  Then, when I got back to Citizen Dick world headquarters, I had an e-mail approving the distribution of some Zs.  We talked about this record this morning (scroll down for our analysis); fasten your seatbelt and hit play.  So, old school rap and greenlit chaos jazz are making me feel like I’m on top again.  Enjoy.

“Me, Myself and I” – De La Soul, Live – Tibetan Freedom Concert
